How It Works
Growth, by design.
Every W&S engagement follows the same operating sequence. Not because businesses are identical, but because a constraint early in the system distorts everything measured after it — so the order matters more than the tactics.
Nine phases, in this order.
Signed & Handoff
Agreement and payment confirmed, workspace created, responsibilities assigned, onboarding requirements sent, kickoff scheduled.
The engagement doesn’t move into active build until W&S has the access and information reasonably necessary to do the work. Starting without it just produces confident guesses.
Onboarding
Business, offer, ideal customer, market, customer value, margins, existing channels, current spend, historical CPL, sales process, close rate, capacity.
We also collect access — advertising, analytics, website, CRM and tracking — at the lowest permission level that gets the job done, in accounts you own.
Audit
The acquisition system reviewed end to end: demand, creative, conversion, measurement, and the sales handoff.
This is where the diagnosis either holds or changes. The account-level view usually reveals something the conversation couldn’t.
Build
Campaign structure, tracking and event architecture, creative direction, landing-page and form work, qualification standards.
The qualified-lead definition is agreed here, in writing, before anything is judged against a lead target.
Validate
Tracking checked against independent business data before spend scales behind it.
Measurement that hasn’t been validated isn’t measurement. It’s a number that happens to be on a screen.
Launch
Campaigns go live against agreed benchmarks, testing criteria, pause conditions and kill conditions.
The standards exist before the results do, so performance is judged against something decided in advance.
Learn
Business outcomes first — qualified leads, qualified CPL, customers, CAC, conversion rate.
Platform metrics like CTR, CPC and CPM are diagnostic. They help explain performance. They are not the definition of it.
Optimize
Budget, structure, audience, placement, bidding, creative, messaging, offer presentation, landing page, form, qualification.
Changes should have a reason. W&S avoids changing campaigns simply to appear busy.
Scale
More budget behind what has been validated, at a pace the funnel and the business can absorb.
Scale what works — not what we hope will work.
One system. Five responsibilities.
Demand
The paid channels responsible for generating customer opportunities.
- Campaign strategy
- Campaign structure
- Audience & targeting
- Budget allocation
- Retargeting
- Ongoing optimization
Creative
The strategy behind the advertising that generates that demand.
- Concepts & hooks
- Messaging
- Ad copy
- Offer presentation
- Creative briefs
- Testing hypotheses
Conversion
The path between advertising traffic and a qualified opportunity.
- Landing-page analysis
- Funnel analysis
- Lead-form analysis
- Qualification structure
- Offer testing
- Conversion testing
Measurement
Enough visibility to understand what the system is actually producing.
- Conversion tracking
- Event configuration
- Server-side tracking
- Deduplication
- Attribution analysis
- Independent validation
Qualified Opportunity
The agreed standard for what counts as a legitimate opportunity.
- Service or product needed
- Geographic location
- Budget
- Purchase intent
- Customer profile
- Client-specific criteria
Once campaigns are live, the loop takes over.
Measure → Validate → Diagnose → Test → Learn → Adjust → Scale. Deliberately unglamorous, and the reason a result becomes something other than luck.
Audit
Establish where the system actually stands today.
Build
Put the missing infrastructure in place.
Launch
Go live with a plan, not a guess.
Measure
Watch the metrics that describe business outcomes.
Validate
Check platform reporting against independent data.
Test
Answer one question at a time.
Scale
Put more behind what has been proven to work.
Repeat
The loop is the product, not the campaign.
Performance validation
Advertising-platform results are compared against independent business data wherever reasonably possible — CRM records, customer records, call tracking, ecommerce data, analytics, sales outcomes, backend conversion data.
Discrepancies get investigated rather than resolved by assuming either system is correct.
Creative testing
Hypothesis → Concept → Launch → Measure → Learn → Iterate. Creative runs as a testing system rather than a series of one-off ads.
A high-performing ad isn’t simply labelled a winner. The useful part is understanding why it worked well enough to repeat it.
Enough to keep you informed. Not enough to fill a calendar.
Primary communication is asynchronous: approvals, asset requests, important performance updates, questions, material campaign changes, and problems needing your input.
W&S does not send messages simply to prove work is happening.
Unless another cadence is agreed, we run a structured performance review approximately once a month. It focuses on decisions and business outcomes rather than reading dashboard numbers aloud.

The objective is a customer-acquisition system that can be measured, understood, tested, and improved.
Ten rules we hold ourselves to.
Measure business outcomes.
Clicks are not customers.
Know what you’re testing.
Activity is not strategy.
Protect what works.
Don’t rebuild functioning systems for the sake of appearing useful.
Fix constraints before adding volume.
More traffic into a broken system creates a larger broken system.
Validate the data.
Platform reporting is evidence, not absolute truth.
Stay in the lane.
W&S owns acquisition — not the client’s entire business.
Don’t manufacture work.
If nothing needs changing, don’t change something just to generate an update.
Don’t manufacture problems.
A healthy client system is a good outcome.
Protect client ownership.
Their accounts. Their data. Their business.
Scale what works.
Not what we hope will work.
Straightforward on purpose.
One retainer. Ad spend separate, paid through your own accounts. W&S charges 0% of ad spend, so nothing about our fee gets larger because your budget did.
